What is Flocknote?
Flocknote is service that will allow St. Rose to communicate more effectively with you. Flocknote also makes it easy for you to control what type of announcements you get from St. Rose and how you are notified when we make them.
FLOCKNOTE is like sending "notes" to your "flock"...Flocknote.
Why is St Rose using Flocknote?
During the Pastoral Survey that was conducted in May of 2015, many parishioners commented on the website and the methods St. Rose uses to communicate information out to everyone. Because of your comments, we embarked on several steps, one of which is Flocknote. We believe Flocknote will allow us to communicate more easily and effectively with you (and be able to get your feedback too). Using Flocknote will allow St. Rose to easily send you the information you care about most via email and text message, and gives you the ability to give essential feedback, too!
Am I "in for good" if I sign up?
The answer to that question is Nope! The nice thing about Flocknote is that it's always free, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Is my information secure?
Yes. All of your data is transmitted across an encrypted internet connection, and all of your personal information is stored in secure databases. Your information is never (ever!) sold, rented or given away to any third-parties. Find more info at flocknote.com/privacy
What if I don't have texting?
You can still sign up! As long as you have an email address, St. Rose has a unique link on the Internet that you can use to sign up as well. Just enter your name and your email address, and you can still receive all messages sent out by St. Rose.
I just changed my mobile phone carrier and I am no longer receiving messages?
If you have changed carriers, you need to update your new phone number within Flocknote unless you ported over your number. If you ported your number to the new carrier, please send an email to the St Rose webmaster at email@example.com. Please send within the email, your name and mobile phone number. We will resync your phone number with your new carrier.
I just changed to Google's Project Fi and I suddenly stopped receiving Flocknote text messages.
Project Fi is a new service provided by Google. At the beginning of February 2016, Project Fi added the email to text feature. This is the functionality Flocknote uses to send text messages.
Because Project Fi is a new provider who recently established communication via email to text, Flocknote has to make system applicaton changes to support Project Fi. If you would like to test out this capability using Project Fi and Flocknote, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org Flocknote continues their development, so please stay tune. By the way, email messages sent to users of Project Fi from Flocknote are NOT impacted, just text messages.
