Becoming a Catholic

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults  (RCIA) is the process through which unbaptized adults and children who have reached the age of reason are initiated into the Catholic Church. Baptized but uncatechized adults and children share a similar journey as they prepare for full initiation or to be received into full communion. St. Rose of Lima Parish offers a year- round process that invites interested individuals and families to begin whenever they are able to do so. For all, the process is gradual and is marked by rituals celebrated throughout the liturgical year. Please contact the Director of Adult Faith Formation for further information.

The initiation of new members is the work of our whole parish community and this is evident in the support and example given by parishioners, especially those who participate in the various ministries of the Catechumenate. CLICK HERE to learn more about the stages of RCIA
