The O.W.L.S. Potluck Lunch & Presentation "SENIORS, LEARN ABOUT END-OF-LIFE PLANNING" will be held on Tuesday, Novmeber 14, 12:00pm for Lunch with the Presentation starting at 1:00pm in the Duggan Room.
To honor the month of All Souls, the Older, Wiser, Loving Seniors (O.W.L.S.) are hosting a presentation on end-of-life planning, i.e., what you wish to happen at the end of your life. Maybe you have already started planning. Or, perhaps you have avoided or delayed thinking about it. That's human nature. We are all at different places when it comes to the difficult questions about death and dying. So, you are invited to think of this, not as a one-time event, but rather, the beginning of a thoughtful process.
The presentation is sponsored by Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Washington, this presentation will discuss the legal documents you might want
to have in place to guide your wishes, and much more. How do you wish to be cared for in your final days? What kind of legacy do you want to leave? Can you use your creative talents to create oral or visual histories for your loved ones? Do you need to tie up loose ends in relationships? How can you seek pastoral care and comfort from the Church? The Church recognizes the sacredness of life at every stage and invites us to approach the end of our lives with dignity and the great hope of life eternal. As faithful Christians, we hope to leave a
legacy that inspires others in their journey of faith and carries out our deepest values. If you plan to attend the lunch, please bring a dish to share or, attend just the presentation.
