Lenten Activities 2021

Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19),  the St. Rose of Lima Lenten activities are limited and subject to change. If an event is changed/cancelled, this page will be updated and if warranted, a Flocknote will be sent out to the parish. 

The events held during Holy Week and Easter are currently being formulated through Archdiocese guidance.  Once finalized, this page will be updated.

Weekly Lenten Events:

Sundays: 
          Rites and Scrutiny’s for those in RCIA
          Confessions - 30 minutes before the 10AM English Mass and 12 noon Spanish Mass
           1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays of Lent - Rosary in English at 9:40 AM
Wednesdays:
           Discussions on Fratelli Tutti from 7:30-8:30pm.  For info and to sign-up click HERE
Thursdays: 
          Eucharistic Adoration – 9:30AM – 9:00 PM in the Historic Chapel
          Confessions – 7pm - 9pm in the Historic Chapel 
Fridays: 
           Stations of the Cross in the Church at 6:45 PM (English) and 5:45 PM (Spanish)

During the Week:

March 28, 2021 - Palm Sunday - Sign-up for Palm Sunday is currently availalbe
                      English Mass at 8AM in the Church.  To register, click HERE

Confession is available 30 minutes before the 10AM and 12 Noon Masses in the Gathering Space Prayer Room.

March 29 – Monday of Holy Week
                  Chrism Mass 7PM – St. Matthews Cathedral, Washington DC

March 31 - Wednesday of Holy Week
                   Confessions will be held from 6PM to 8 PM in the Church

ALL Triduum Masses and Services will require families to register and
are subject to change based on COVID-19 requirements. 

  

April 1 – Holy Thursday - Sign-up for Holy Thursday is available Sunday March 28 after 6PM
                      Morning Prayer at 8:30 AM in the Church 
                      Bilingual Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7PM in the Church - livestreamed.
