For the past two years, Sheila Shea has been serving as our Acting Youth Ministry Coordinator. She most graciously stepped into this staff role on a volunteer basis, with the intention of filling in for a while until someone was hired for the position. Then, the pandemic hit.
Under incredibly challenging and ever-changing circumstances, she stayed the course and worked tirelessly and faithfully to form our youth through Religious Education, Confirmation, RCIT, and MOHO programs, all while working her regular job outside St. Rose in the MCPS system.
We are deeply grateful for her dedication, professionalism, adaptability, generosity, and loving presence. Thank you, Sheila, for sharing your gifts so generously! May God continue to bless you as the next chapter of your story unfolds.
Effective as of July 5, Sheila will turn over the reins to Ogechi Akalegbere, who has been hired to serve in the role of Youth & Young Adult Ministry Coordinator.
Thank you again Sheila and a warm welcome to Ogechi in her new role.
