Delayed Opening Notification for Thurs. December 15, 2022

Due to MCPS' delayed opening for December 15, 2022, the following St. Rose of Lima activities for Thursday, December 15, 2022 have been impacted.

This includes and is not limited to: 

December 15, 2022

• No 8:30 AM Mass
• Delayed start - Eucharistic Adoration will be held 2:30PM-9PM

Updates will be announced on the website and Facebook if needed.
 

COVID Testing & Vaccinations Cancelled for Jan 29, 2022

 

COVID Testing and Vaccinations scheduled for Saturday, January 29 have been cancelled throughout the county by the Montgomery County Government due to inclement weather.  Because of this, Testing and Vaccinations will not be held at St. Rose on Saturday, January 29.

Since Montgomery County Public Schools will proceed with all school-based events, all other scheduled  activities at St. Rose will be held tomorrow.

Mass on Feb. 6/7 Inclement weather update

Due to the impending weather, Masses for this weekend will be live-streamed today, Saturday, February 6th at 4:00PM in English and 5:00PM in Spanish. Parishioners are welcome to attend. Impending Weather, January 31, 2021

Due to the pending inclement weather for Sunday morning there will be an English Mass celebrated on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at 3PM in the Church and a Spanish Mass celebrated at 4PM. These Masses will be livestreamed and available through the St Rose YouTube channel.

The Masses on Sunday, January 31, 2021, will be held but will not be livestreamed.

There will be NO Wednesday Morning Mass on January 30, 2019 because Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) are closed. Since Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)  are delayed tomorrow morning January 31, 2019, there will be NO 8:30 AM Mass or Adoration. 

The Parish office will open on a two hour delay this morning, Wednesday, January 30, 2019.

Due to the weather condition and for the safety of our parishioners:

The following evening activities after 6 PM at St. Rose have been cancelled for Thursday, January 17, 2019.  This includes and is not limited to:

• NO Eucharistic Adoration after 6 PM
• NO Confessions in the Historic Chapel from 7-9 PM
• NO Adult Choir practice in the Church 
• NO Yarn Angels 
• NO Spirit Club Exercise 

The only scheduled activity that is not cancelled is the dinner for the Indianapolis Youth visiting for the March for Life sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. 

If Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) open late or are closed tomorrow morning January 18, 2019, there will be NO 8:30 AM Mass.

On Monday, January 21st, there will be NO 8:30 AM Mass and the Parish Offices will be closed.

Closure Notification for Sunday, January 13, 2019

Due to the forecast for snowfall overnight and into Sunday, there are some changes to scheduled events at St. Rose. 

Masses WILL be held, but all other activities will be postponed or cancelled.  

Please note that the 7:30 AM Mass will take place in the big Church instead of the Historic Chapel.

This includes but is not limited to:

• No childcare during Mass  
• No Children’s Liturgy of the Word
• No Sunday RE pre-k - 6,
• No RICA- Adult Hispanic Community
• No Sunday Religious Education,  7-8 Confirmation and RCIT classes
• No Foundations in Faith
• No Confirmation family session #2 for Sunday. (Please refer to the separate Flocknote from Molly)
• No Newcomers session will be held
• No Adaptive RE Class
• The Adaptive Faith Mentor training with Jeni Stepanek has been postponed to March 31, 2019
• No Groupo de Oracion: Estudio Biblico
• No Legion of Mary
• No Harmony Express

 

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)  are closed on Monday January 14, 2019, there will be NO 8:30 AM Mass on Monday, January 14, 2019. 

The MCPS Administrative Offices are scheduled to open late.  The Parish office will open as close to 9:00 AM as possible.
 
In case you do not make it to Mass to hear announcements, please note that we have 2 funerals scheduled for the week.

The funeral for Bob Pianta is Monday, January 14^th at 11:00 AM in the Church. 
The funeral for Joe Rychlec will be Saturday, January 19^th at 12:30 PM in the Church.
